This slim LED bar mounts anywhere in seconds and turns itself on the moment you walk up to it — then turns itself off once you've gone. No switch, no wiring, no electrician, no power point.

Why the motion sensor is the whole point

A plain stick-on light is something you have to remember to switch on and off. That's why most of them end up flat in a drawer. A sensor light solves problems a switch never can:

• Your hands are usually full. Groceries, laundry basket, a sleeping toddler. The light comes on anyway.
• 2am trips don't wake the house. You get a soft pool of light at floor level instead of the ceiling light blasting on and waking your partner.
• It only works when it's dark. A built-in light sensor keeps it asleep during the day, so it never wastes charge lighting an already-bright room.
• Nobody has to remember anything. Kids, guests and houseguests never leave it on overnight, because it switches itself off.
• It goes where wiring can't. Inside a wardrobe, under a floating shelf, in a linen press, down a hallway, in a caravan. Anywhere a powered fitting would mean an electrician.

• Brightness adjustable — dial it down for a bedroom, up for a workbench
• Detachable — the bar lifts off its mount so you can charge it without unscrewing anything

Mounts in about ten seconds

A slim magnetic strip goes up first — screws or adhesive, your call — and the light snaps onto it. Straight, level, and removable. When it's time to charge, pull the bar off, plug it in by USB, and click it back on.

Choose your length

• 10 cm — a single dark spot: a keyhole, a drawer, a bedside
• 20 cm — wardrobe shelves, bathroom cabinets, the inside of a pantry door
• 30 cm — under kitchen cabinets, along a hallway skirting, above a workbench
• 50 cm — a full bench run, a long wardrobe rail, a staircase wall

Both warm white (cosy, easy on the eyes at night) and cool white (crisp and bright for kitchens, wardrobes and work areas) are available in every length.
